For this reason, we believe that both the message and methods of Gospel ministry are given in Scripture. The message is the Gospel and the methods are what we call the “ordinary means of grace” – the Word, Sacraments, and Prayer. Though regularly tempted to change the methods and/or message, we believe the Holy Spirit uses faithfulness to methods and message to exalt the Savior, humble sinners, and promote grace-based holiness.
